April Cottage

Distance from golf club: 10 minutes by car

The Cottage and Lodge are situated in the village of Harman's Cross, halfway between Corfe Castle and Swanage. It is the first cottage on the left when turning into South Instow. Reached from Wareham on the A351 or by ferry from Sandbanks to Studland it is a location ideal for exploring the local and wider attractions. 

South coast attractions nearby include Brownsea Island, Studland Beach, Poole and Bournemouth, and within walking distance is the Swanage Heritage Railway. The Isle of Purbeck cliffs are truly spectacular and lead onto the notable geological formations of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

Your hosts at April Cottage are Joanna and Peter Burri-Weaver and in keeping with the unique blend of characteristics on the Isle of Purbeck they offer a personalised level of Anglo-Swiss hospitality sure to make any guest feel welcome. 

In addition, not many guest accommodations can boast an ex-Olympian and SAS descendant for hosts and just for some extra appeal the full English breakfast which comes with every stay can be taken in the large gardens, weather permitting of course. Two guest rooms are available at April Cottage, a ground floor twin room with private bathroom and a large first floor double en-suite, reached by spiral staircase. The double room can accommodate a further bed.

There is ample parking on-site and free Wi-Fi.  

The Lodge can accommodate 3-4 people or can be hired for a private BBQ. There is hardly a more romantic place for you to enjoy a cosy evening. The lodge is fitted with electricity, Belfast sink with hot & cold water, a WC and tea / coffee facilities.

Norden House

Distance from golf club: 8 minutes by car

Norden House is a Georgian Farm House newly refurbished into a beautiful self-catering letting house to comfortably sleep fourteen, and set within its own grounds overlooking the ruins of Corfe Castle in Dorset.

The House is conveniently situated for using local transport, with bus stops at the site entrance and the steam train to Swanage just a short walk away, which makes us the ideal base for exploring the Isle of Purbeck. We are set back from the main road, but with easy access.

Norden House is a large property offering very spacious downstairs living areas and one downstairs double bedroom with disabled access and an en-suite wet room. Upstairs all six bedrooms (four doubles, two twin-bedded) are a generous size with TVs and en-suite toilet and shower in every room (one room with bath en-suite). There is also a separate extra bathroom.

The house boasts a large lawn and mature garden which can be used to hold wedding receptions and celebratory events. We have a list of local caterers and marquee hiring companies for such events – please contact us for details.

Also located on the Norden Farm estate we have a Farm Shop, family campsite and a self-catering Farm Cottage that sleeps four – all conveniently located to offer you additional accommodation types for further family and friends to stay nearby.
